This proposal seeks to study the use of asymmetrically modified graphene oxide quantum dots (GOQD) as a support for metal nanoparticles with the purpose of avoiding agglomeration and increasing the surface area available. This new nanomaterial can be used for different clean energy sources such as alkaline fuel cells and solar cells. This study will allow graduate and undergraduate students to develop the knowledge to study nanomaterials for future applications in energy systems.
