This project proposes to run a small-scale, real-world, Microgrid setup at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez (UPRM) working in close loop. This project will focus on the installation and the integration of renewable energy and distributed generation systems. The primary goal of the Microgrid setup is to increase the integration of intermittent supply and end-use, thus supporting higher penetration levels of intermittent renewables in distributed systems.
